Drakkar Ltd. was founded in 1998 by a team of expert land surveyors headed by Valery Gutman .
The company started out by surveying services to the private sector.
In 1999 the company imported to Israel a modern technology:
A Leica SR 530 GPS instrument with a cellular modem which enables land surveying by the RTK system (Real Time

Kinematics) for surveying without distance restrictions. The advantages of this system are the great speed and accuracy

which it enables .
For a few years now Drakkar Ltd. has cooperated with a few main organizations and companies in the mapping field in Israel

. The company has won contracts from the Survey of Israel including surveys country wide.
Major clients include: Public Works Department, Ministry of Defense, Tahal company, Ports and Railways authority, Israel

Electric company, Ministry of Agriculture, Ofek Aerial Photography Ltd., Israel Chemicals and others.
At present surveying is being done by 6 instruments including a Trimble 5700 instrument.
The company specializes in surveying in un-passable terrain such as the Negev Desert. The surveying is carried out quickly

and efficiently by utilizing a helicopter.
Since 1999 Drakkar Ltd. has been the main surveying company of Ofek Aerial Photography Ltd. and supplies surveying

services of all kinds.
